Your finest boxed wine, sir!

Years and years ago I was sitting in the bar of a hotel in Moscow with a friend of my sister. We were smoking and playing a drinking game that revolved around currency prostitutes. Every time a charming lady sealed the deal, got up with a man and headed in the direction of the elevators... we had to take a shot. Neeeeedless to say we got very drunk, very quickly. I don't remember much else. In fact, I seem to have blocked out 98% of the entire trip.
This is my homage to classy, at least for this week. 100L at Cherrybuttons and The Emporium. For this you get two jacket layers with sashes only (in red and black) two jacket layers with a hand drawn bow already on it (not to be worn with the prim bow) one jacket layer that is bare of sashes or bows... and two prim bows (one black/one red)!

Remember when cigarettes were $.99 and were buy one get one free and Rhonda at the Shell Station never checked your ID even though you were only 12?

Versatility is not, in fact, my middle name... but it's a theme I thought I'd explore a little bit in the Banned From the Roxy tops.
My personal opinions surrounding these tops are that they work really well with high-waisted pants or skirts and Marly's hair. I'm leaving this outfit on all day because I've already been hit on by 2 men with the word Dragon in their names. One of which offered to let me see his webcam. And it's only 2pm! who knows where the rest of the day will take me!
120L and I managed to squeeze it into all the Thimbles locations!

Suspenders, anyone?

50L Suspenders on a single jacket layer. A belt is also available, also 50L and also on a single jacket layer.

Awe Heck!

I'll apologize first: The ceiling fan is blowing strands of hair into my face and it's distracting me and tickling my chin and driving me f'ing crazy. I've tried three times to type in some sort of pertinent paragraph but I keep veering off into descriptions of how much I love Gene Pitney or whatnot. I'm Sorry.
10 colors. 100L each. 2 layers. 1 arm that kind of hurts (is it carpel tunnel?) and 0 more music. I've turned off the thingy. I'm going to bed.

Barfight Brenda Tanks

Layers? Everyone seems to want layers these days, and there's nothing wrong with that... but what happened to the good old days of limited options?
Sometimes a girl wants to throw off her jacket and get into a nice messy brawl. We're very lucky that in the 21st century we can either wear this tank, or sign up for Rock of Love with Brett Michaels, aren't we? For 95L you get every layer you could possibly want in a tank top PLUS a super secret optional jacket layer for just the belt if you're fond of just wearing belts and nothing else (or i suppose you could wear it with another top... but Brett Michaels would probably find that less sexy than the former option).
Ok then! Have a good day!
P.S. This tank comes in 7 different colors and is available at all the Thimbles location but I couldn't fit every color in every store. All colors are sold at Cherrybuttons and The Emporium.

Well this top was a week in the making and I probably could have named it something longer and more awkward than The Vesticle... but sometimes low-brow is the only way to go. It's all mod, so please if you'd prefer the giant bow on your right shoulder, feel free to move it. I'm going to have to apologize at this point for not being able to come up with anything else to say; my cat is sitting next to me burning a hole in the back of my head with his ambivalence and it's throwing me off. I wish, at times like this, that he had a personality. Something for me to love about him. But he doesn't. And so it it only becomes all the more jarring for him to sit here, not doing anything but sitting and making me uncomfortable.

Better Off Inside Dress at Thimbles

I think I've mentioned my love for POOFY dresses and I'm also sure I've said how much I love Hayden. So I made a dress for both of these loves! This is the Better Off Inside Dress. While I was sick, I listened to Better Off Inside OVER and OVER again while making this dress. Now you can have part of my obsession!

Did you open your eyes when you first saw me?
Did you open your eyes when you first saw.. me?
First saw me

It's funny how things make sense when your lonely
It's funny how you want more when your happy
I'm coming over, will you open the door for me
I'm better off inside

In your eyes, I see you in disguise
You're talking backwards, telling lies
telling lies

It's funny how things make sense when your lonely
It's funny how you want more when your happy
I'm coming over, will you open the door for me
I'm better off inside

Is your name Loraine? Do you work at my bank?

The fabulous and delicious Miss Kiki Cunningham of Ki2 and I have been collaborating on some sculpties for me to use, lately. By "collaborating" I mean that I try very hard to explain what I mean in a way that makes any kind of sense... maybe throw in a picture or two and say "but not like that!" and Kiki, because she's an f'ing genius... actually creates the sculptie shape of my dreams!

So anyways! Here's the first product of this melting of the befuddled minds: Loraine. It's a shirt, I wouldn't go so far as to call it a blouse, with a prim accent bow on the chest. It comes in a longer length too for those of us who kind of like longer tops, but no jacket layer. Selling for 85L at the Thimbles Emporium and Cherrybuttons locations, I'll put it up elsewhere later this week. OK then! I'm going back to my conversation about furry yiffing parties! Have a lovely evening:)

*Thimbles* Holland Tunnel Tina <3's UR mom

I don't think that this is the appropriate platform for me to begin writing a grand opus or even a small doting love poem to the Holland Tunnel, but boy am I tempted. I believe there is a special place in the world for people who've been affected by ridiculous traffic and hours of being stuck there-in (most especially those of us who had to pee real bad at the time). Perhaps not the woman in that black mustang in 2003 who ignored traffic code of conduct and tried to wedge her douche-mobile in front of my car and ended up leaving a 5 inch scrape on the side of my car. Even my wild hand gesturing and employment of the international hand movements for "I am SO writing down your license plate number!" didn't deter her so obviously she was a crazy person hellbent on whatever it was she was hellbent on. But I digress.
This is the Holland Tunnel Tina, all four colors are pictured above. It includes a collar, sleeve prims and a flirty piece of flounce that lays at the bust-line. It sells for 125L at most of the Thimbles Locations.

Naomi - Brown Halter POOFY Dress at Thimbles

I like brown! I hope you do too. This is the Naomi Dress. Its brown and haltered and has a scarf and a poofy skirt. Fun, fun, fun. Its at all locations of Thimbles - 100L.

Your prettiness is seeping through
Out from the dress I took from you, so pretty
And my emptiness is swollen shut
Always a wretch I have become
So empty, please don't leave me

I'm watching Naomi, full bloom
I'm hoping she will soon explode
Into one billion tastes and tunes
One billion angels come and hold her down
They hold her down until she cries

Rockin' Stroll POOFY dress & hair at Thimbles

New dress & hair at Thimbles. Its only available at our Cherry Buttons location! This is what you get when you combine being super sick and needing something to do besides watching either Charmed or the Gilmore Girls all day. The dress is 100l and comes with a lacy prim skirt, a regular white skirt, pants, top and lacy gloves. The hair comes in 9 different colors and is available in four different packs (darks, reds, blondes, fat pack).

She takes me on a rockin’ stroll
You won’t wave, 'cause I won’t know
As by I roll, I hope you’ll throw a smile at me

This here pram is all know
Won’t be walking ‘til I’ve grown
All I’ve been shown is everything I wanna see

People’s knees, and trunks of trees smile at me

Looking upward to the sky
Moving forwards all the time
The sidewalk lines – gadunk, gadunk, gadunk, gdai

If it’s warm in here, is it cold out there?
Around out where I can only stare
I’m still aware of little, but I’m gonna try

les Muumuus de Busey.

Good golly I'm tired. They're building a hotel next door and have been drilling into cement since 8am. It's a very loud racket. Very loud. If this were the first time they've done this I'd be complaining, but it's not so this qualifies and simply stating, instead. At any rate. I am always game for light banter regarding Gary Busey. And out of that was borne the idea for these muumuu's. I believe that they represent all that is Busey from the pattern to the hemline. Of course someone's inevitably going to say "but Apatia, where are the pasties and mesh thongs?" and I'll say back "YES!! I think of Gary Busey in mesh thongs too... but more often I think of him as very classy." And that's what I think I've captured here. Very classy in a comfortable and breezy spring dress.
Currently only available at the Thimbles Emporium location, I'll put them up elsewhere when I figure out where to make the space. I hope you enjoy:)

Clementine POOFY Dress...

This is a little far from what you think of when you hear the word Clementine. Either you think of a citrus fruit - sweet and warm - or you think of the old western folk ballad Oh My Darling Clementine. Either way, this dress is none of the above - its not orange nor folky but it is black and POOFY. It can be yours for only 100L - stop by any Thimbles locations for your copy.

They're waking you up to close the bar
The street's wet, you can tell by the sound of the cars
The bartender's singing "Clementine"
While he's turning around the open sign
Dreadful sorry, Clementine
Though you're still her man
It seems a long time gone
Maybe the whole thing's wrong
What if she thinks so but just didn't say so?
You drank yourself into slow-mo
Made an angel in the snow
Anything to pass the time
And keep that song out of your mind
Oh, my darling
Oh, my darling
Oh, my darling Clementine
Dreadful sorry, Clementine

Shun Spring Colors, Fall is where it's at!

Grandpa Lloyd's Sweater is up and for sale in most of the Thimbles Locations so if you get a little chilly while you sit there cybering up some young buck... you know where to go. There are two free copies for Thimbles Group members out there hiding in the notices if you're interested. Dang keyboard is wobbling so I'm going to keep this short and go shower. 100L for 5 sweaters and there are 5 more colors available so eat them up yum!

Holland Tunnel Tina

My computer has been dying slowly and painfully and annoyingly for about a month but yesterday a kindly man came to tinker around and replaces some parts for me. Naturally I was up all night reinstalling photoshop and playing around like a kid who's just put arch supports in her shoes and OH MY it's so much more fun to run when you're feet don't ache with every step, isn't it? It IS. Perhaps those of you who were born with good arches can't relate, and that's fine. There will always just be this invisible wall that seperates you from me. Anyhoo. My Plaidspiration, Hank, has been M.I.A. for a while but I forge on in my pursuit of bringing more and more and more plaid to Second Life. This is the HT Tina Jacket, available in all Thimbles Locations for 125L.
Also, note that we'll be putting up super adorable freebies at the Cherrybuttons Location for Valentine's day so keep a look out!
