so this weekend is a busy weekend! thimbles has a new satellite shop opening on the wonderland sim as well as our solo shops - pig and split pea! it's a really f'king awesome complex of shops and really... i implore you to come check everything out and explore, you'll love it. here are some pictures.

the above picture is in the pig shop that I'm sharing with OMGWTF Barb's shop This is a Fawn. She's got everything from shapes and clothes to original artowork. Just delightful and I love her.
ps. that sweater is new... pss it took me all stupid week to make and there is a 16th color i'm holding back for the RFL charity stuff. WINK WINK. oh and pssssss - the sweater is only for sale in these two locations at the moment... if i hadn't made it i'd totally buy it just for the stupid color names.

This is me in the new thimbles location - i haven't had a chance to make anything new for the occasion but I will as soon as i can and it'll only be released in this location for a while. my neck hurts.

Pig is also opening a sattelite at the Creve Coeur shopping area on First Meta. This location will only be selling menswear... which of course all my mens junk is unisex so I really dont know what that means... but I'm making it very manfriendly. I don't have any pictures of that but the building is flipping adorable and i love it and there are tons of great shops there as well. I'm so tired.

It's no secret - I'll shout it from the prim rooftops and also my own real one if i had a ladder. I adore Toast Bard in the same way i feel about my cats. There is a small fundraiser going on Tableau right now (amazing shirts from Tres Blah, adorable poses from Pudge, Wonderful hair from lamb) I put these swimsuits out there - There are a lot of colors and I've forgotten how many. So there's kinda a story for this shirt - my beautiful friend had been talking to Mel about looking for a specific kind of outfit in SL and was having a time finding it. Anyways it morphed into this shirt outfit - Cleo at the Cafe. I photographed the black on black version because I am an antisocial misanthropic people hating people hater. But it does come in 6 other colors and all seven come with the black tights because pants are over rated and tights are the new pants.

We just opened a Thimbles satellite shop at the Festivale sim and this shirt is only available there right now. Each color is 100L and here is an auto teleporty landmarky magic thingy directly to Thimbles at Festivale.

New Junk at Thimbles - Lloyd

The plaid shown above comes in i think 12 different colors - after 10 it just gets confusing so please if I'm wrong... feel free to send me an angry notecard. One of the colors (which should count as two) is a gift to the thimbles update group and you can find it under notices tab if you join and look there. It's there, really. It's also for sale if you really really hate gifts. Each color is 95L and comes on all layers... since it's a unisex shirt it also comes with collars and cuffs sized for women and men (all based on my female and male shape... so ha... hahahahaha you'll have to edit them to fit yourself).

ALSO new - and personally my favorite is the dance party thingies.

These... I'm calling what happens after you wake up from a bizarre dream whence Liza Minnelli and bondage barbie are touching one another in dirty ways. It also comes on all layers... with I *think* almost every variation of ways to wear it... that's 32 layers per color and there are 5 colors for sale. Thimbles has moved to Floyd - Prepare your weapons

Yes! it's true - Thimbles mainstore has finally been moved to Floyd and is now housed in actual thimbles! Go figure!
So a little rundown: Big thimble houses new and newish junk, little thimble houses slightly less newish junk plus has the stairs to the basement where pretty much everything else is. Everything else plus some stuff we'd had to take down to make room.

So ok! here's a thingy - and oh yes! there's some extremely new junk in there:) here's a few photos of that new junk.

Crystyle Bukowski and I have matching tattoos on our knees. It's not an accident, though I do think it would be great to say it was. That it was some sort of kismet that we bonded over after meeting one another. But the kismet and bonding happened before the tattoos. The creepy stalking happened after.
Anyways. Things are rough right now for a lot of people with the American economy tanking and it's hitting Crystyle's family hard. A bunch of us have gotten together to put some special items for sale on a fund raiser board outside of the Starlust Motel Lobby.

There is a brilliant song playing on wfmu.org right now. Some sort of party in Giantland song and it's one of those that is so unusual that you fall in love with it immediately. Anyways, you missed it. You weren't listening and it's over now. Another thing you missed was the Dollarbie purple jumper that was up in Cherrybuttons and the Thimbles Emporium for two days. Feeling bad right about now? Feeling low like the last person to arrive at a wedding and people are staring at you? That's OK!! Howdy do. I forget exactly when we started this project, but it's come about time for me to send out an announcement that we're opening up a tiny weetle shopping area and have two or three spots to rent out.

We've got a 75prim spot, a 100prim spot and a free standing building that may or may not fit 50prims. The 100prim could also very easily be broken down into two smaller rooms so you know, that's an option.
Also we have a "struggling new designer" board. Free rent for 15 prims for a month for anyone just starting out. The only catch is that we kind of have to see your junk first and then we all vote on who gets the board each month.

I did not pick the nearest book, I am not so good with following rules. I also have a giant wall of a bookshelf with far too many to choose from and the nearest ones as you walk around the corner are all photography books. I picked at random, sort of, a book I haven't read in years and years.

I'm really pleased with how easy it is to throw on these Hoodies and get your hands dirty building or texture-ing or... if you're me... bastardize a song you don't really know all the words to on mic while shh-ing those trying to speak over your horrible singing. They're a good renaissance sweatshirt, really! There are 8 Men's colors to choose from and 9 Ladies colors to choose from. I personally wear it without the hood, but that's just me. Some people like a hood. Other's like '83 Mustangs.

Really though. Hell. At 2:30 this morning (mar. 1) I was tooling around looking at land with my friend Kiki when I crashed. Trying to log back in I got the error message that says "blah blah blah we're logging you out right now, blah blah blah your account will not be available until such and such time" and I got that message repeatedly for an hour, before I just up and went to sleep instead. Long story short: After talking with a Bruno and being emailed by a Pam, who was not as delightful as the Bruno, It appeared as though somehow, some magical way... my avatar had gotten stuck in-world... but was not actually IN world. I blamed it on Sparkle originally... That's where I'd been when I crashed, but Cate Dollinger went to try to push me into another sim and sent me a picture of where i was...Hell. I'm stuck in Hell. I think it's fitting. And instead of actually making all the puns I could make right now... KNOW that there are a shit ton of puns to be made and appreciate it. Here's another picture:See? That's the Church of Satan, or one of them at least. Anyways. I'm immobile. I'm vacant... There is nothing there when you click send a message to me. Years and years ago I was sitting in the bar of a hotel in Moscow with a friend of my sister. We were smoking and playing a drinking game that revolved around currency prostitutes. Every time a charming lady sealed the deal, got up with a man and headed in the direction of the elevators... we had to take a shot. Neeeeedless to say we got very drunk, very quickly. I don't remember much else. In fact, I seem to have blocked out 98% of the entire trip.

Versatility is not, in fact, my middle name... but it's a theme I thought I'd explore a little bit in the Banned From the Roxy tops.
My personal opinions surrounding these tops are that they work really well with high-waisted pants or skirts and Marly's hair. I'm leaving this outfit on all day because I've already been hit on by 2 men with the word Dragon in their names. One of which offered to let me see his webcam. And it's only 2pm! who knows where the rest of the day will take me!

Sometimes a girl wants to throw off her jacket and get into a nice messy brawl. We're very lucky that in the 21st century we can either wear this tank, or sign up for Rock of Love with Brett Michaels, aren't we? The fabulous and delicious Miss Kiki Cunningham of Ki2 and I have been collaborating on some sculpties for me to use, lately. By "collaborating" I mean that I try very hard to explain what I mean in a way that makes any kind of sense... maybe throw in a picture or two and say "but not like that!" and Kiki, because she's an f'ing genius... actually creates the sculptie shape of my dreams!

So anyways! Here's the first product of this melting of the befuddled minds: Loraine. It's a shirt, I wouldn't go so far as to call it a blouse, with a prim accent bow on the chest. It comes in a longer length too for those of us who kind of like longer tops, but no jacket layer. I don't think that this is the appropriate platform for me to begin writing a grand opus or even a small doting love poem to the Holland Tunnel, but boy am I tempted. I believe there is a special place in the world for people who've been affected by ridiculous traffic and hours of being stuck there-in (most especially those of us who had to pee real bad at the time). Good golly I'm tired. They're building a hotel next door and have been drilling into cement since 8am. It's a very loud racket. Very loud. If this were the first time they've done this I'd be complaining, but it's not so this qualifies and simply stating, instead. At any rate. I am always game for light banter regarding Gary Busey. And out of that was borne the idea for these muumuu's. I believe that they represent all that is Busey from the pattern to the hemline. Of course someone's inevitably going to say "but Apatia, where are the pasties and mesh thongs?" and I'll say back "YES!! I think of Gary Busey in mesh thongs too... but more often I think of him as very classy." And that's what I think I've captured here. Very classy in a comfortable and breezy spring dress.

I failed gym my freshman year of high school. Ask me why one day, it involves a horrible gym teacher and combat boots. There is a lot of anger in the much longer version of this story. Anger and resentment that cross state lines and have me involved with ex-nun lesbian math teachers and smoking cigarettes on a golf course in Wisconsin. The Short of it is that because I failed gym class my freshman year of high school I found myself standing on a street in Chicago whence Rod Stewart haphazardly sauntered past me. I had never listened to Rod Stewart any more than a song here or there on the radio... but when his presence crossed paths with mine I decided one day I must be a wife of his. I was 16 and only had a handful of years left before I was too old to accomplish this. Years went by, I graduated High School and I forgot about my dream of being a Mrs. Rod Stewart as quickly as a butterfly forgets that it was once a caterpillar crawling on the ground. Then (dramatic pause) in 2000 something... I've blocked out a few things and years are sometimes sketchy to me so for authenticity I won't pretend to remember exactly when this happened... my best friend and I were being jaunty American tourists in Glasgow, Scotland one day. Drinking ales and stouts. Eating bland starchy foods here and there. And it happened to be a day of some great soccer game. Some great soccer WIN. Every Scottish Soccer Hooligan for 100 Kilometers seemed to be parading drunkenly down the street. I could be wrong but I do believe that Monika and I were discussing the hotness of Scottish Soccer Hooligans when KABLAMMO she walked right into a petite and dapper dressed older gentleman helping an equally petite and lavishly dressed young lady into a car. She apologized to him, he apologized to her. Gracious smiles were exchanged between all parties as they often are when strangers are polite to one another, and we continued on our way. And then I realized it had been Rod Stewart. Again. For a little while, fueled by stout-y ales and lagers I mused on our luck and how it had now become destiny that I marry Rod Stewart one day. Monika, who never quite understood my feelings for Rod Stewart, having now touched him... been invaded by his presence too... was on the same page and we argued over who would win him first. She's a year younger than I am and therefore had the upper hand. I would wrinkle before her. She would remain in desirable youth a little longer than me. I forfeited. But I have never fully lost my passion. And then... ultimately... his daughter started showing up in my trashy bathroom magazines. Or rather... His trashy daughter started showing up in my bathroom magazines.
